Discover “E” 2012 Needs Volunteer Engineers
The Discover “E” engineering outreach program is sponsored nationwide by the engineering profession. During Discover “E” 2012, thousands of engineers throughout the United States will speak to millions of students and teachers. Our goal is to increase students’ appreciation and understanding of the engineering profession and to foster student interest in applied mathematics, the engineering sciences, and technology. Discover “E” in the Bay Area is coordinated by the Silicon Valley Engineering Council (SVEC).

If you would like to make a difference in the lives of Bay Area students by speaking to them at their schools in February or March, 2012, about engineering, please sign up below. If you need more information or you have additional questions, you may call David Levinson, Chairman of Discover “E” 2012 for Silicon Valley, at (408) 756-0064, or e-mail him at david.levinson@lmco.com.

For engineers who volunteer for Discover “E,” free materials on engineering to hand out to students and teachers will be provided, as well as orientation sessions on how to make effective, anxiety-free classroom presentations.
