President Barbara Roberts opened the meeting with introductions at 6:39 PM.

Committee Reports

2008 E-week Banquet

• Dhaval moved the motion to approve working with CIE as the banquet hosting organization. Bill Nott seconded the motion. This was passed unanimously.
• Motion to move 2008 E-week banquet Thursday or Friday before the E-Week only if
  • CIE agrees to do so and
  • Inductee could attend the banquet
• Dan Oprica moved the motion and Dhaval seconded this. This was approved unanimously

New Member Society

• We approved unanimously for Engineers without Borders to be a new SVEC member society.
• Donation, $500.00, for the San Jose State University student chapter of Engineers Without Borders
• Richard moved the motion for this donation.
• Connie seconded this.
• This was approved unanimously.
