Felicita Saiez motioned for AFE to become members of SVEC, seconded by Steve Sherman. Fel reviewed and approved their membership applicationRoger Engstrom from AFE was present. Motion passed unanimously.

President: Kang
VP: Saiez
Secretary: none
Treasurer: Ed

Directors: Engstrom, Bates, Ferguson. There are two other director candidates that not submitted yet.

Sam presented hardcopy (but not given away) of submitted bios. Sam encourages more nominations.

Nominations still open and will accept on the floor on June 13. Nominations will close later on June 13 meeting and followed by elections shortly after on same night.

Larry Bethel presented Financial Management for Professional Organizations based on the one day course by CompassPoint.

Handout from Larry includes last month budget from SVEC used as example as it does not show that we may have another $3500 outflow for scholarships.

Fel: If your organization is on cash, you can't change it to accural per IRS regulations.

Announcements

Northern Calif Link 130 of O/E inducted its 400th member. Induction ceremony will be on end of June.

Santa Clara Valley of CSPE and the Engineers Club of Santa Clara Valley will present "Residential Photovoltaic Cells" on Thursday May 30. Dick Blackburn did his house with photovoltaic cells and he has received rebates.

Next meeting at Mission College in Room 219 of Campus Center. There will be no board meeting.
