5/24/2000 Meeting Minutes
This meeting was held in the conference room of B-107 at Lockheed-Martin, we want to thank them for their support and hospitality.

Each of the attendees was invited to introduce
themselves, a number of participants were new to the group.
2000-2001 Officer Nominations - Sam
Haddad
Dr. Sam Haddad, Chair of the Nominations
Committee, presented the slate of candidate officers for the 2000-2001
period. Summaries of the candidate "resumes" will be distributed
at the election meeting (June) and will be posted to the website.
So far seven résumé's have
been received:

efforts to spend our "Surplus"
Felicita put forth the idea of pursuing
a SVEC project to gain more recognition. A short brainstorming session
took place during the meeting, the list of concepts is as follows:
Round Table Discussion
Ed Kaminski received the Paragon Award,
national recognition, for his support of swimming competitions. His
efforts have been in aid of the synchronized swimming events.

Sam also indicated that he has received information
regarding position openings, in particular a Director of Sales and Marketing
for Motorola in the San Jose area as well as Austin. See Sam for
details.
June 7 meeting planned to be held
at Building 107, "Engineering / Technology and Advanced Manufacturing
Advisory Committee", an announcement and agenda were distributed.
Treasurer's Report - Ed Kaminski
Bank account at $9468 overall,
a detailed accounting was distributed. The final accounting for the
banquet has been settled.
Hall of Fame Banquet - Next Year
-- February, 2000 Thursday evening
Steve made a motion to discuss these
topics at the June meeting with the intent of the next council to proceed
with pursuing one, seconded by David Licata. Generally agreed to
by everyone.
