The meeting was called to order at 7 PM by Dave Licata.
There was general discussion of several events, including the open house, and the banquet, but no formal action was taken.
David Levinson made a motion that SVEC adopt the "Keeper of the Flame," conceptually as he has written it in a handout distributed at the meeting. It reads "For maintaining high standards of content in mathematics and science instruction in K-12." The motion was seconded and passed.
Sam Haddad identified he is looking for volunteers for a committee for fund raising for special projects including,
AEA membership, $900
Payment for an Executive Assistant
A Dinner for Industrial Liason $2500 (I'm not sure I have this one correctly)
An Executive Director Fund
