Materials
Poster presentation panels for the Hall of Fame members were on display for comments. These posters are intended for display at The Tech.Open House
Nearly last minute discussions regarding the Open House activities took place. Tour methodology and paying for catered food were discussed as well. A $1000 was approved for last minute catering expenses.Engineer's Week Banquet
The San Francisco Engineering Council expressed interest in presenting their scholarships at the SVEC banquet, the possibility of supporting this in the future will be necessary.

"Food tasting" at the Marriot was scheduled for the coming Friday, Dave Licata will perform the tasting task in preparation for menu selection.
David Levinson announced that he was preparing the mailers for the teachers.Ground Hog Day / Feb. 2
Jim Ritchie described the Ground Hog Day shadowing program, brochures were available and there are about 260 students that need placement.Society News -
SAE - Larry Rinek announced that "The Pratt-Whitney Story" was the program topic is the SJSU Aviation Dept for 11/18
AiChE - Manesh Shaw summarized the process control presentation held at the Clorox facility in Pleasanton. A venture capital for Chemical Engineering by Hambreck and Quist was scheduled for 11/9, the next AiChE meeting was planned for 11/16 at the Berkeley Spaghetti Factory.
CSPE - No November meeting, next meeting 12/5 as a Joint Chapter meeting. The Fundamentals of Engineering Review is scheduled to start in January at Cogswell College (Sunnyvale), Tuesday evenings, the test sessions are scheduled in in April.

Paul Hoff, Missile Systems
Director for the THAAD flight test program discussed the status of the
missile development effort and showed two variations of flight video of
the THAAD during a successful intercept. [Only the general aspects
of the THAAD program were presented because due to the classified nature
of this development.]
