Help The Professional
(from 1997)
Pinson Institute was founded by Dr. Jay Pinson, who for fifteen years was the Dean of Engineering at San Jose State University and later became the Director of Education and Technology for SEMI. At SEMI he developed and offered a very successful, recognized international education program for assisting engineers and scientists in making a transition in the semi-conductor industry. One of the Institute's objectives is to provide recruitment, education, training, and placement of engineers, scientists, technicians, and operators who together make our industries successful and profitable.
Continuous education and training are necessary in today's ever changing technological world. Individuals must continue to upgrade their knowledge and skills for current employment or future employment. Others often find themselves unemployed or under employed and need additional education and training to make a career change. In either situation, the Institute offers programs to meet the changing needs. For individuals seeking to make a career change the Institute offers financial assistance of up to 100 percent.
Some of the programs that have been offered include Software Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Telecommunications and Networking. Starting in Fall 1997, the Institute will be offering a basic electronic technician program. For more information, call (408) 559-3100.
