Who are we?

We are one of the nation’s top-ranked sections, operated by a group of dedicated volunteers with a vision of becoming an essential resource for mechanical engineering needs within Silicon Valley. ASME SCVS, composed predominantly of early-career and mid-career industry professionals passionate about serving the engineering community, takes particular pride in tailoring customized growth plans for each volunteer. Geographically diverse, ASME SCVS covers 2,000+ local ASME members in the counties of Fresno, Inyo, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Tulare.

Call for Volunteers

As a not-for-profit membership organization run solely by local volunteers, we are always seeking intelligent, energetic, and enthusiastic volunteers who want to get involved by assisting with the delivery of our program, as well as those who want to share the passion for building an engineering community that inspires.
