Who are we?

We are one of the nation’s top-ranked sections operated by a group of dedicated volunteers with a vision of becoming an essential resource for mechanical engineering needs within Silicon Valley. ASME SCVS, which is composed predominantly of early-career and mid-career industry professionals with a passion for serving the engineering community, takes particular pride in tailoring customized growth plans for each of its volunteers. Geographically diverse, ASME SCVS covers 2,000+ local ASME members in the counties of Fresno, Inyo, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Tulare.

As a not-for-profit membership organization run solely by local volunteers, we are always seeking intelligent, energetic, and enthusiastic volunteers who want to get involved through assisting with the delivery of our program as well as those who want to share the passion of building an engineering community that inspires.
