Webinar: Molding MicroNeedle Array Patches: What is Possible

November 18, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm PST

Micro molded needles and sharps are being utilized for drug delivery by either being coated or through injection. Because micro needles and sharps are so small, there is uncertainty regarding the ability to achieve needed geometry and tight tolerances. This presentation will explore the perceived limitations of molded needles and sharps. Challenges and solutions created over our 30-year history will cover the ability to mold 3-micron tips, extreme aspect ratios and lumen sizes down to 20 microns. These examples will also cover solutions that were created in thermoplastics, API-loaded resins, and bioresorbable materials.

Presenter:
Donna Bibber
CEO, Isometric Micro Molding, Inc.
Donna Bibber has over 30 years of industry experience and has developed hundreds of miniaturized devices incorporating micro molding and automated assembly. Donna’s plastics engineering background, expertise and unique problem-solving skills earned her an excellent reputation and national and international recognition for her work in micro manufacturing. Her expertise in intraocular implants, bioresorbable polymers, and PEEK implants gave rise to many new devices commercially available today.
